This exercise really does work. I’m just gonna have to do them more because I want that flat belly sooo bad.
Kimberly, first this doesnt really work on your abbs. This works your low back muscles and your glutes or butt. Second, just by doing exercises that focus on a specific area of your body like your abbs, doesnt mean your going to get flatter in that area. That isnt how the body works. The calories burned and raising of metabolism may help you flatten your tummy if you did about 500 a day, but doing just a few strength exersises for your abbs will actually make your tummy bigger. True adding lean muscle mass does help raise your metabolism but you would get more calorie burn by exausting your bigger muscle groups by doing squats, lunges, etc. Look into some sort of circuit training if you really want to flatten you tummy. Hard work is really the only way to get the results you want. Dont buy into the idea that you can do one specific exercise and you will get a flat tummy or a smaller butt. doesnt work that way.
I’m on a belly mission! I will be trying this! Plus this is a sign. U posted this video on my birthday!
Does this give a lower back curve? I’d love for my butt to be rounder as well
It can, but you’ll also want to pay attention to the amount of fat in your thigh area back there, as well.
What would more or less thigh fat do? I don’t really have any. My fat is all in my waist /flanks (unfortunately) and boobs
The lesser the amount of thigh fat, the more pronounced the lower curve can be. If you feel your thigh area – directly below the curve of your booty – and where it connects to your booty, some women have fat that sits there that prevents that curve from sticking out the way it could. Getting rid of that would make it more pronounced.
How would you concentrate on losing fat JUST in your thigh area so that your butt can be rounder?
There’s a long and complicated answer for this.. but it all boils down to “you can’t,” I’m sorry to say.
