How Junk Food Affects The Body, Part 2

Some quotes to keep your ears peeled for:

“Don’t think there aren’t flavor scientists sitting in a lab trying to figure out how to make this burger addictive..”

“I don’t know if ‘satisfied’ is the word as much as ‘stuffed’…”

“I’ll eat something that tastes really, really good, and then fifteen minutes later I’ll feel sluggish…”

Definitely food for thought, no pun intended.

Girl this just scared me straight…now I’m more then likely going to think twice before everything. I suffer from blood pressure, and diabetes, and I know I do well, then fall off and chuck it up to treating myself for a day.

I’m terrified now. Thank you so much for posting this, I just watched the rest of the videos as well just to see how his blood pressure was effected. I would be interested in seeing how his daily diet goes. I saw him eating the cereal and fruit. That double down moment was classic too…I can’t imagine eating that.

Wow, I just watched all of the videos. Watching someone actually… well… KILL themselves in slow motion and realizing I’m doing it to myself daily.

Just wow.

Long time lurker, first time commenter by the way. This thing scared me out of silence.

Ok Erika.

When the Double Down “sandwich” came out, I did buy and eat one! IT was great! I think it was the week of finals, and crazy last minute subbing, my schedule was insane. A couple of weeks later, I was running late to a rehearsal and thought, “Whattabout that Double Down thingie? It was good and that way, I don’t have to run home and fix something…” So I bought it again. It doesn’t taste the same after you’ve been eating fresh salads, and fruit and REAL meat for a while. I gave it to my dogs who of course scarfed it down… Afterall it had bacon.

I’ve been waiting to see who actually ate that sandwich. I couldn’t I was like…Heart attack on a plate. His reaction was priceless, probably the same one I would have.

I don’t know how he made it for 3 days. My body rejects things like that now. I either throw it up if I get temped. I remember there was a new soul food restaurant that opened up. I decided to try their friend chicken with collard greens and mac and cheese. I ended up not even finishing and found the bathroom.

I just don’t like feeling sluggish, in a fog, not able to concentrate. It almost feels like you are drugged.

It’s the slow gradual death that nobody notices. Just as good health is realized slowly over time with proper choices, poor choices result in the other side of the same coin. We need to educate people that life is not just a straight line, a timeline, flowing linearly. It’s a dance, a dynamic thing where greater focus and discipline result in greater present moment happiness and enjoyment of all the good things.
