My jaw is just… on the floor.
Aside from the fact that the inner kid in me is actually giddy, I’m actually intrigued by how these function in real time during the morning or night:

ASICS FluidFit™ upper technology combines multi-directional stretch mesh with stretch reinforcements that adapt to the athlete’s foot, creating a truly customized glove-like fit.
And, of course, it also comes in a coral version…which I had to go check out for myself at the Asics Store at Bryant Park in the city.
Because… well, pink. Y’all know how I feel about pink.
The shoes definitely glow, but it’s not so much the famed British Knights’ kind of “bright, blinking” light that you might expect. Only the gel around the base of the heel – it appears as a shiny, dark pink blob between the white and silver at the hell of the shoe – glows. And, as with all glow-in-the-dark things, the actual glowing portion has to be “charged up” with light in order to work, and it may not last for, say, an endurance or distance run.
But – and this is a huge but – as you can see, there is major reflectiveness on the sides of the shoes as well as in the laces. These strike me as the perfect winter running shoe for someone who runs in the morning. (And, to pair with that, Asics also has a “lite show” style of clothing to match.) The combo is perfect for those people who run on undefined terrain like streets with no sidewalks.
The shoes also feel fantastic, but that’s unfair – don’t all new shoes feel fantastic?
The ASICS Women’s Gel-Nimbus 15 Lite-Show Running Shoe retails for about $150, and the coral comes in sizes from 5-13; the yellow in men’s sizes 7-16.
So tell me, y’all… do we love it?

Oooh I want those so much! Like for real, I’ve been needing an extra pair of shoes because walking so much and my other workouts might wear them down quickly.
Love the pink ones. My favorite shoe are the Nike Air Max’s. I have ridiculously flat feet and these are extremely comfortable for me.
Love them! Need all the help I can get for those early morning jogs, esp as fall approaches. Thanks for the heads up! One thing though, it would be nice if the contract color was something more jarring than basic black. My current ones are baby blue and an cross between fluorescent orange and a coral-red. I love how they stand out in a crowd, but these would too.
