Tennis Player Stuffs Her Bra And Booty To Imitate Serena Williams

by Erika Nicole Kendall

Update March, 2015: Serena directly speaks on Wozniacki and what happened here!

So…hey.

No, this is a real thing:

And, while the conversation is whether or not this is racist, I think people should focus more on the fact that Caroline Wozniacki, our great impersonator, failed to capture the most distinguishable trait about Serena: her ability to actually win.

Wozniacki actually lost the match to Maria Sharapova.

Serena – my role model and best friend and trainer in my head – always gracious, didn’t appear to have much to say about the matter, but this definitely made me giggle:

Call me, Serena! You know I love you, girl!

Okay. So… I tried to be polite… but there’s a thousand jokes to be made about this. I’m gonna let y’all make ’em, though.

And… go!

Maybe I should make a video of me imitating her and how she looks like a loser imitating Serena and how she actually a loser because she lost. My thing is I love playing too, I got into because of the William sisters, I don’t this is racist but I do think it is mean and ignorant. You are at a serious professional tennis match and you think it is ok to do that? Side note Caroline, the crowd is laughing at you not with you.

On another note… I thought tennis was more dignified than that? Why wasn’t a 22yo shunned from this kind of foolishness?

I’m sure someone probably said something after the match. Can’t really talk to them during the match until they get a chance to sit for a minute

People might compare this incident to Andy Roddick doing this act. I think there is a key difference in that Roddick and both Williams sisters trained together as teens and were already friends.

Novak Djokovic’s impersonation of Serena’s form might (might!) even be a different story. He is known to be a jester and makes fun of many players on the tour.

Caroline Wozniacki’s impersonation seems to be a different story to me. Perhaps it is over-sensitivity because this is a Caucasian female, whose physique Western media would have all peoples struggling to attain. The mocking feels different. I laughed with Andy and I laughed with Nole. I don’t think that I am one to get worked up over a little fun. But I’m wondering if I should have taken these previous incidents a little more seriously. This is the second time CW has done this. (Maria lost the point here, so maybe it was a good strategy. I don’t even want to imagine the mental demons Sharapova deals with when facing Serena.)

Serena is overall, a well-behaved tennis star. She’s had a few ugly outbursts and sometimes deserved the response she got from them. Athletes mouth off and it’s fine except when the athlete is female, even though she is training just as hard, working just as hard, and desiring victory just a much as her male counterparts.

Serena did the ‘cripwalk’ dance after winning the gold medal at the Olympics and so many people overreacted. This is a woman who FINALLY secured her career golden slam—a feat previously accomplished only by Graf, Agassi and Rafa Nadal! But she couldn’t do a dance because of it’s connections with some gang? Please. She’s made obvious strides in being more gracious to her opponents in defeat and in victory. No one cares about this though… (I never did have a problem with Serena declaring that she lost a match because she beat herself or didn’t play well. Sometimes it was the truth.)

To the woman I watched come into the Australian Open in 2007, poorly conditioned, ranked #81 in the world, and dismantled FIVE seeded opponents to secure the championship, keep doing you. I have much love and much respect for you and your court game. Your physique is amazing. Maybe you can expand your charity work and let Caroline should train with you. Someone needs to teach her how to win Grand Slams on the WTA.

(And I’m still trying to understand what is supposed to be so funny about my physique.)

Tennis and really any professional sport is more dignified then this. I’m not getting mad at her because she is white, she could be blue and I’d still find this childish and stupid, I’m mad because in front of thousands of people in the stands and on tv she made a mockery of the sport and a follow player. If she want to make fun of Serena fine but do it at home don’t do it on the court. Her competitor looked at her like she was foolish, and she was, and the crowd was laughing at her. People train for years to get to her level and to go on court and TV and do something like that is just bad sportsmanship and a bad mark on her character

Caroline should take my momma’s advice: you can’t say (or do) something nice, then don’t say (or do) anything. shame on her.

One word when I saw this: HATER!

And agreed, not racist but immature and hurtful nonetheless – esp. for those of us that ASPIRE to have Serena’s physique (cant even touch that talent). Whatev tho, Serena stay winning with all that azz and tidday – why you mad Caroline? Better get it right and quit making fun of those

Well… mocking a Black woman’s body for its shape or color or hair has a long history to it, in the same way mocking AAVE or stereotypically Black people things is still being done, so I say this is racist whether she meant it like that or not.

I say it’s racist..this is a match not an exhibition event. The chair should have called her on this point blank. It is racist. I didn’t see anyone wear a prosthetic big nose when Steffy Graf was beating them left and right. I didn’t see them make fun of Martina when she was kicking their butt’s with all her muscles.

Didn’t know they do roasts on the tennis court. Anywhoo knowing Serena this will probably be her best year yet. More motivation to get done in a big way.

Also about the bikini..someone in the comments suggested she should create a line. I would love for her to do that. It’s needed.

I think that someone should point out to her that she and her ilk spend thousands, if not hundreds of thousands to have those breast, rear end, and lets not forget lips. So it would seem that since she’s not really a contender, she can’t afford those enhancements and must stoop to showing the entire tennis world, exactly who and what she is. I also think that she should have been disqualified for unsportsmanlike conduct but I believe that the real issue is that they’re tired of Serena kicking tail on that court. LOL

Sooo…this tennis player must not have any people around her. At least not any that were going to tell her to take a whole stadium full of seats when she told them about her foolish plan.
She probably lost just because of the stuffing. She’s not used to working with all that. And she probably wasn’t concentrating on the game since she was thinking so hard about whether or not her stuffing was going to fall out.
I need that girl from the Olympics to give her “I do not approve” face.

She’s on court right now.

I hope she and ReRe are on opposite sides of the draw this Slam.

I’ll stop there.
