Let’s be honest with ourselves: the diet is the hardest part.
But why?
We spend so much time trying to search for the perfect diet, because we think that “perfect” means “easy to follow.” And, being honest, it very well might be. But eventually, we slowly revert back to our old habits and, eventually, the weight returns. Or—worse—we can’t follow the diet as well as we might’ve liked, eventually quitting altogether, feeling demoralized and ashamed. We’re officially worse off than we were before.
The nutrition is always the hardest part. But not because we “lack will power” or have no “self-control.”
The reality is, there are numerous reasons why we struggle to change the way we eat in a way that creates permanent, beneficial, meaningful results. It’s not just losing weight—it’s about getting off the blood pressure meds, it’s about no longer being pre-diabetic, it’s about feeling physically empowered again. And I think I can help you make it happen.
In my Nutrition Therapy program, you will journal your meals with me in the ProCoach app, and we will regularly discuss the decisions you’re making and why. You will receive regular emails from me to help guide you towards a healthy relationship with food, but the most important part is the regular conversation we will have to help you live and eat better.
Feelings are a major part of the coaching process, and yours will be handled with total empathy and compassion. We will talk about your feelings—how you feel about what you ate, how you felt after you ate it, what you feel you should’ve had instead—and how to make different decisions that will both fit into your regular day to day life and help move you closer to your goals.
I will provide you with a starter guide to help you determine what a proper meal will look like for you, complete with guidance on appropriate macronutrients and portion sizes, and we will regularly talk about what makes you feel full compared to what leaves you feeling satisfied. We will talk about the late night snacking, the compulsive and uncontrollable eating behavior, and create a pathway to help you combat it. We will transform the way you look at, think about, and appreciate food. And, if we’re lucky, we’ll shock your doctors the next time you pay them a visit.
