Dude…what?
Listen. I have a special place in my heart for Chaka. Not because, as kids, we used to all get bopped for sneaking and singing “Tell Me Something Good” at the top of our lungs when we thought our parents weren’t listening… but because, in the beginning of our courtship, The Mister sent me this photo of Chaka from the 1970s telling me, “You remind me of her.”
…it was then, that I knew this man is a keeper. Ha!
But, truth be told, I didn’t know this Chaka! Like, who is this fro’d out bombshell?
Apparently, Chaka has decided to [partly] revisit these days:
Now… apparently, Chaka appeared out of virtually nowhere sporting a much slimmer physique, even slimmer than her appearance at the annual Red Dress Fashion Show this February:
So… I can’t seem to find any information on what Chaka attributes her weight loss to, but I am happy to see her looking like old school Chaka. Don’t worry, girl, I’ll hold you down on the ‘fro front. (She is wearing that red on her hair, though!)
I tell you what, though – if she busts out doing Slim Fast commercials or something, I’m gonna throw a fit.
