Reecie, see, breakfast was never a huge deal - a lot of the things that my Mom did, we never talked about why.. so it was easy for me to abandon a lot of it when I got older. Besides, at a certain age, I was waking up so late that I was nothin' to skip breakfast and go on with my day. Silly, right? It sounds like you've got the perfect setup to avoid the downfalls of skipping breakfast... now if we could only avoid this 'itis issue! :)

Cryssy, thanks! What do you consider a full breakfast, I wonder? Sometimes, we get hung up on the full meals we see on TV or in the commercials, and don't realize that a lot of that is marketing - they want us to buy the hash browns, the eggs, the toast, the sausage - and it's unnecessary to do so much. A nice chunk of fruit, or a breakfast bar can sometimes do the trick pretty well if you follow it up with a snack an hour or so later, much like Reecie said above. Give it a shot!

my mom taught me as a child to always eat breakfast, so it something I've always done. I usually only have juice at home in the morning, but I work less than 10 min from my house so I eat when I get there. its small--usually a cereal bar, coffee, then fruit or apple sauce, then I have a snack again at 11, and lunch between 1-2. eating every couple hours keeps my energy up. the only time I really get the itis is if I eat TOO MUCH at lunch and it makes me heavy and lethargic.

I have never thought about eating breakfast is breaking a fast --very valid.

I find for me there is no way I can eat a FULL breakfast I would want to crawl back in bed.

But I also know when I don't consume anything I am starving and over eating by 11:30.LOL

The balance for me is a Carnation Instant Breakfast couple of pieces of fruit or some meat. It really does change the flow of my eating routine for the day, for the better.

As always sis, great post!
